WAN AWARDS 2013 Adaptive Reuse Shortlist
This article features six adaptive reuse projects that have been nominated for the WAN Awards 2013.
The article states:
"The selected projects all use innovative techniques in their design to create unique interventions and evocative adaptations. The projects vary not only in their scale and typology but also in their reaction to the existing fabric of their environments meaning that, as John Assael described it, ‘the projects have to be exquisite to make it into the final six’."
Might be some interesting precedents for Jad, Jeff, and others.

How a Radical New Teaching Method Could Unleash a Generation of Geniuses
This is a pretty interesting article about some radical new teaching methods that are being investigated in places like India and Mexico. It is not architecturally specific, but I think it could prove relevant for a lot of people in the class working with ideas of the digital in architecture. Hope it's useful !

Urban Heart @ Toronto : An Evidence-Based Standard for Measuring the Well-Being of Toronto's Neighbourhoods
I came across this resource that ranks the health of Toronto neighbourhoods both graphically and using a matrix. Thought some of you might find it useful, see the pdf here: Urban Heart @ Toronto and more info here: Urban Heart @ Toronto (additional info)
